Fractal Flower Necklace

Best viewed at original size of 1200 x 1200 pixels, this is one of my first real attempts at fractal design. Not that I needed to find something else exciting about the graphic world when I have so many real world things to do (*grin*), but I do love to learn and work with colors. So, here's my first presentation of a fractal for the enjoyment of my Flickr friends and viewers.

One of fifty-one new designs I captured from inside one of my real kaleidoscope. This particular scope uses light from the side which reflects through colored glass into pieces of glass and jewels floating in oil. It also has a black bottom and black sides so the light actually illuminates the inside items like neon. Another of my favorites with its sparkling center.
1955 - 1967 Peugeot 403

The Peugeot 403 is a car produced by French automobile manufacturer Peugeot from 1955 to 1966.
The 403 made its debut in saloon body style on 20 April 1955 at the Trocadéro Palace in Paris. The engine size gave the car a fiscal horsepower of 8 CV (8 hp), which placed it a class below the soon-to-be-replaced 11 CV Citroën Traction, but at least one class above the small cars produced by the principal competitor manufacturers.
When it was first shown, and until after 1958, the leading edge of car's nose carried an angular, forward-leaning chrome lion hood ornament – the lion image being Peugeot's trade mark. That was removed in 1959, due to safety concerns, and the logo was incorporated into a shield-shaped grill emblem.
Subsequently the semaphore-style trafficators on the C-pillars were replaced with flashing indicators within the light cluster. The front lights were modified to conform to new standards and in 1957 parallel parking windscreen wipers were substituted for the original "cross hands" ones featured at launch.

Der Peugeot 403 war eine Limousine, die im April 1955 in Paris erstmals der Öffentlichkeit präsentiert wurde und für Peugeot den Schritt zum international erfolgreichen Großserienhersteller bedeutete. Der 403 war der erste Peugeot, dessen Stückzahl die Millionengrenze überschritt; insgesamt wurden etwas über 1,2 Millionen Fahrzeuge produziert. Außerdem wurde das Modell in mehr Länder verkauft als alle anderen Peugeot-Modelle zuvor.
Für den Entwurf des Prototyps ebenso wie für das Serienmodell des 403, dessen wesentliche Eigenschaften bei der Serienfertigung umgesetzt wurden, zeichnete das italienische Designunternehmen Pininfarina verantwortlich. Im Verlauf der elfjährigen Produktionszeit umfasste die Modellfamilie des 403 eine viertürige Limousine, einen Kombi mit der Bezeichnung Break, ein Coupé, den sieben- bis achtsitzigen Familiale, einen geschlossenen Lieferwagen mit drei Türen sowie ein Cabriolet.
Die Design des Peugeot 403 war durch die seinerzeit sehr moderne Pontonform charakterisiert. Technisch wegweisend war die Sicherheitsausstattung mit einer Zahnstangenlenkung und Michelin-X-Gürtelreifen. Ein Stahlschiebedach war außer beim preisgünstigen 1,3-l-Modell in Deutschland serienmäßig erhältlich. Ende der 1950er Jahre konnten Kunden unter 51 Angebotsvarianten wählen, Kombi-Modelle waren auch mit Dieselmotor erhältlich.
