A collage collecting some of my favourite shots of the house itself from my visit to Carton House on a glorious morning last autumn.
The photo along the bottom shows the entire house, with the big central range and the two wings spreading out on the left and right. At the very left of the shot, peeking out behind the trees you can just see the top of the arch leading into what was the stables - this arch is shown as the third image on the second row. Next to that is a closeup of a niche in the walls of one of the wings of the house, and the first image in that second row shows a closeup of the central range of the house with the Statue of Mercury in front of it. This is the statue that is shown large in the big picture taking up the entire right hand side of the collage. In the top row we have a closeup of the cravings on the top of the central wing of the house, and a closeup of the sundial in the formal gardens in front of the house.
This is the first shot I've edited with my new copy of Collage Pro for Mac. I like the results I got, but the controls in the app are a little odd and will take some serious getting use to. I absolute had to read the manual to have any chance of getting a descent result, which is not a good sign when it comes to the ease of use of an app.
