A few nice photo to canvas images I found:
Harlow Parson collaborative portrait of teenage comic book author, Ariel Schrag, 1996. (oil on canvas - 40" x 30")

In 1996, San Francisco, Ruth and I we saw the comic book, "Awkward", written and drawn by 16 year-old, Berkeley High School student, Ariel Schrag. We contacted her with an offer to paint her portrait. Visiting her home after school, we asked her to draw a cartoon of her "dream boy". As we watched, she completed it quickly and confidently. We pinned it to the wall, took a Polaroid of her standing beside the drawing. Ariel approved the photo, we took it to our studio and over the course of a month, we made a painting study from the photo, by each of us drawing on an enlarged photo-copies of the Polaroid, then combining the best parts of our drawings into a gridded collage. Marking a corresponding grid on stretched canvas, we each painted a randomly chosen 50% of grid squares. We proudly delivered the completed portrait to her, wishing her every happiness in her life.
Seven Springs Alien Nation

This is a storm that I chased from Phoenix to North Scottsdale to Carefree Arizona out to where this road ends at Seven Springs. It was really spooky out there that night.
