Wow. It's been almost a year since I posted my last stranger photo. I guess I haven't given up yet, though!
This year is the third annual Bike the Barns ride to raise money for Partner Shares, a program that helps low income households receive fresh produce from CSA farms. It is a fantastic fundraiser where bikers ride a total of 55 miles to several farms where they will have tours and eat delicious food.
Every year I have made homemade grape juice from local grapes to serve at one of the stops. Every year more people ride and 500 riders will drink a lot of juice. I sent out a call for volunteers and was grateful that Stephan showed up. He's involved with Slow Food UW, who are also making empanadas for the ride. Thanks for your help Stephan!
