HHGTTG / H2G2 - The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is one of my all time favourite science fiction films/books. Marvin is a Paranoid Android aboard the starship Heart of Gold. The film is based on a book by Douglas Adams.

I Love this toy I tried to recreate Marvins depression, frustration and boredom in the shot =]

That's what reading does to you. Unfortunately, for me, the number of unread books on my book shelf increase everyday. From my bed I can count 9 unread/unfinished books. The list keeps on growing. Have to do something about that.

About the picture: I'm hooked to levitation photography. Seriously, it's so much fun. I think I'm going to lay off of it till I hunt up something really interesting. I tried to add a little texture since it's been almost more than two years that I used them in my pictures.

Props used: iPhone flash light to light up my face. Reading/holding "Jack Kerouac's The Dharma Bums".

It's supposed to be an awesome book and I got myself a copy home delivered just today. (I'm going to read this one.)

I've never posted an after shot of my office. It's a tiny room, and I have a lot of books and craft supplies, so storage solutions are the primary concern.

I apologize for the general crappiness of this photo - I took it with my new pocket digital because it shoots wide angle, but I'm still not happy with this camera.

this is basically my writing history in chapbook form. it's very interesting to gather them all together in one place really. I keep thinking, huh. I wrote some books. interesting.

oh also? I designed the graphic layout for most of these books. GenderBent (the yellow one) was co-designed; "In Between" the 2nd FYI chapbook was designed by Mary.

Exposure................0.04 sec (1/25)
Aperture..................f/1.8
Focal Length..........50 mm
ISO Speed..............400
Exposure Bias.......+0.3 EV (Upping the exposure slightly helps with the whole noise situation I find)

Lots of processing gone into this, this is what I can remember :)

High vibrance low saturation
Upped clarity
Added a black to light yellowy orange gradient map (sepia looking) and set opacity to ~80%
HDR toning, played around in that for a while to get the look I wanted
Some dodging and burning
vignette :)


Took this in an old antique shop in bempton, on the east coast of england, some interesting stuff in there, nothing for me, but interesting nonetheless ;)

Guitar Case with Stickers

The other side of the case. About ten years ago I emailed whomever I could find on-line and asked for stickers for my guitar case. Here is the result. Now some of them are peeling off. Anybody who sent me a sticker got on the case so there is a wide variety of bands and some causes here.

The case is from a Valley Arts stratocaster that I sold several years ago and is now used for a G&L Legacy Special (strat). Also, our old cat Elsa (dead for many years now - R.I.P.) must not have liked this guitar case.When I first brought home the Valley Arts strat she expressed her opinion by climbing into the case and vomiting in it! I thought that was sort of a cool act of defiance so I just wiped it out a bit and let it dry - so now this case not only has cool stickers everywhere but has that rarely experienced petrified cat vomit ambiance.
