Out of the 40 or so photos from our neighborhood's annual breakfast in the park, this is my favorite. One of the men played with several children in a sort of soccer game, while the rest of us gabbed and munched. This image was shot with the zoom, waaaay across the park from where cobalt here was, yes, gabbing and munching. This is my current desktop image and one of my fave candids ever.
For those interested "Mary Janes" are a special type of girls' shoe, with a wikipedia article here. It just seemed to add to the special moment for me. If you are visiting from getting my "moo mini-card" at the breakfast, it is taking a while to sort through all the photos, but there will be a set of them soon.

Talking about fractals, Legendary French mathematician Benoit Mandelbrot, father of Fractals, died last week. He was at TED this year and gave this great talk on Fractals and the art of roughness.
